Bob Marley’s kid, John Lennon’s kids, Phil Collins’ kid, Frank Zappa’s kid, George Harrison’s kid, Ozzy Osbourne’s kids… not hugely successful, are they?
But Entertainment Tonight did feature pieces on their inherited talent! Was it all a lie, ET?!

Jimmy Page didn’t really take Black Crowes to the next level. Zwan wasn’t really a (ahem) smashing success. Public Image Ltd didn’t really continue Johnny Rotten’s golden run. Porno for Pyros wasn’t really the success that Perry Farrell might have hoped. Pattern emerging?

Did Shaquille O’Neal or Anthony Mundine really fulfil their potential as the ‘ultimate brands’?
But Naomi Klein said that their success in sport made them universally potent brands in a way that ‘non-sport stars’ could never become! Is it possible that Naomi Klein’s anti-corporate ‘No Logo’ was actually a sensationalist piece of drivel? No, no, couldn’t be… after all, they teach from that book in universities.
